Sensory Garden
On April 16th 2011, the Rancho Santee Lions Sensory Garden was dedicated as a safe and educational destination for all citizens especially those who have sight impairment issues.
The Sensory Garden is located inside Padre Dam’s Santee Lakes at Lake 4, adjacent to our last project, the handicapped pier.
The Garden is landscaped with special attention being paid to fragrance and texture. Each plant has a plaque in Braille allowing visitors to identify the type of plant being experienced.
